Under Multiplayer, there's a mode called AI Battle Simulator where you can earn XP for up to three characters at a time. The only thing required from you is to click 'A' after each fight, so meanwhile, your character is leveling up you can do your work as well. AI will fight for you and you will get mother box if your AI character clears a number of fights and gears as well. Then go to the battle simulator and start endless mode and select the character they want to level up with AI loadout. In the multiverse, one can setup the AI loadout for the character they want to level up. It'll take longer than fighting an un-manned opponent, but you'll get more rewards and it will be, put plainly, less boring. You'll earn XP, Gear, and Mother Boxes by completing Multiverse challenges. This is a great mode for multitasking for a variety of goals. This can also be a pretty monotonous pastime, especially after you've mastered your character's combos and specials. Whereas in the Multiverse you'd be accumulating Gear and Mother Boxes, you'll gain no loot in Versus besides what you get when your player level increases. There is a downside to using this method, though. This increases the XP you gain by 200 per transition, but will also increase the time it takes to complete the match.Ĭonsidering this mirrors the practice mode, you can use this opportunity to practice combos and specials with characters if you need to, while actually gaining XP. Initiate stage transitions as much as possible for more bonuses. The more time remaining, the bigger your XP bonus.

If you have an extra controller, you can set up a versus match in multiplayer mode and easily beat down your idle opponent. This is probably the easiest, fastest way to grind a character to level 20, though it's definitely the least fun. When you complete a match, you'll see the bonus XP besides "Gear Bonus." Some, however, give you a boost of XP regardless of what you do in a fight. Most of these XP augments increase gains for certain actions, such as bonus XP awards for connecting a specific special attack combo, or executing an environmental transition. While the set bonuses often produce higher bonus rewards, augmented gear is also useful for collecting extra experience. There are special gear items with augments or set bonuses that can provide additional XP if you have them equipped. Winning a fight will earn a base reward of ~400-500 XP, and it takes a little over 100 wins with each character for them to reach level 20. Increasing your character level is done by playing in matches, both in solo play or online. The max level for a character in Injustice 2 is level 20.
